Can you tell me what teens nowadays music preferences? Is it true that pop and r&b are more popular than rock?

Okay, I Iove rock musics. I love My Chemical Romance, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Tokio Hotel, Paramore, Green Day and many more while other teens love other artists like Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Jonas Brothers, Pussycat Dolls, High School Musical casts and many others. I want to know what is your opinion about this? What do most teens like? My friends thought me weird for my love for rock stuffs. I respect other teens music styles though.
