Why do so many 80's songs have a saxophone solo?
I was talking to my buddy who is the drummer in my band. www.futurekind.net check it out!, and we were talking about why so many 80's songs had saxophone solos. Was the sax a gimmicky thing or did A lot of musicians play one. I would like to know why band like, pink floyd and bruce springsteen had sax solos. I am also a musician and love most types of music but why so many sax solos in supposed rock bands?
